  Five days ago my bunny Lilo lost his brother. I am wondering for those of you who have gone through the same thing, what can I do for him to help him cope? He is still eating somewhat normally. I just noticed that he would sit there and stare most of the day. When I let him out to play, it’d take a couple hours of actively coaxing him into running around and waving toys in his face for him to show interest. When he finally gets into it, he would run around and be his normal self for an hour or two. Then right back to sulking.
  
  I have already taken him to his vet who deemed him in healthy conditions. Is this normal for a grieving rabbit? He has also gotten considerably more clingy to me (which I love but it’s a little sad). I currently do not have a “neutral” place in my apartment to bond him to a new rabbit. I have plans on moving to a new apartment in about 2 months, by that time hopefully I will be ready to accept another rabbit without comparing him/her to my beloved Chicho. Meanwhile, what can I do for Lilo to keep him entertained?

  I am sorry for your loss.
  For now, spend as much time as possible playing with and snuggling your bunny. You can offer him his favorite foods to encourage him to eat more, and provide new toys. Stuffed animals can make good bunny comfort buddies as long as they don’t chew.
