        So Sampras(of course it’s sampras..it’s always Sampras..)
Has been off antibiotics for a while now and still has a runny nose. Now I know it’s related to his one tooth…cause it calms down when it’s trimmed, and I think it’s allergen related because his sniffling eases off when we are home and away from the carpets. But in general he isnt bothered by it. (We get binkies, zoomies flops and of course snotty nosed bunny kisses)

I bought him hay cookies in order to try lessen the dust burdon on him…only i have to break them up for him because he cant manage with his one tooth.
And when they are broken up they become almost like a powder. Yumi manages perfectly. Sampras shoves his whole face in and inhales the food. And it all gets stuck on his runny nose.

Is there anything I can do to 1)discourage the nose dive into food (they constantly have access to food…he nose dives everytime) or 2) any other low dust hay that has longer stalks in it ( i got the “woodlands hay cookies”)

If it becomes like a powder, can you add a little bit of water to it to make it bind together a little, but it will still be soft for him? I’m not sure whether it would slow him down, but might be worth a try.

Luna is just the same with food, no matter how many times she gets pellets at the same time every day, she acts as if it’s her last meal ever

I did add water to make it into a kinda of porridge like meal. It actually made it worse because all of it stuck to his greedy little face. Although maybe I just need to work on getting the consistency of it right!

Quite possibly, I think too much water is bad and then it would definitely get all over the place, but just a tiny bit should make it bind without it being wet and sticky. Kind of like a crumbly cookie dough.

Could you get something like the Burgess long stem feeding grass and put it in a colander to remove any excess dust?

My buns love the Woodlands Hay Cookies but they are very messy and powdery!
