My two bunnies, theodore and tinkerbell are bonded and have been since i introduced them a year ago. They have only ever faught -faught a couple months after they met but after that, never again. They cuddle all the time and follow eachother around so i know they love eachother. Anyways, at first it was always theodore (fixed) mounting tinks (spayed) face… I would always yell at him to stop or gently push him off of her. I’ve read that its natural for them to assert dominance so i try to ignore it the best i can but it does bother me :/ Now tink is mounting theodore and i am just wondering if there are possible solutions to make ME the dominant figure so they will stop doing that to eachother.

I was thinking i could split them in their condo & only allow them to be together when they have free roam of my room. orr, do the opposite & let them have free roam of my room at seperate times & togetherness in the condo. not sure if that would help??

a coworker also suggested that maybe theodore was neutered but his hormones or what not are still in tact so thats why he has to assert dominance?? he does pee on my bed alot…. ?

any help would be appreciated!! thank you

Dominance can sometimes change. Change in seasons can sometimes affect hormones and cause more mounting behaviour than you would usually see. If they’re not fighting, I wouldn’t separate them, you might end up seeing more mounting that way as they may feel a need to reassert that pecking order every time they’re back together. I don’t think you can stop one becoming dominant over the other, even if you are dominant above both, they still need a pecking order between them.

Has he always peed on your bed? Or has it just started more recently?
