        Hi everyone!

I recently adopted a bun from a local rescue centre to bond with my current bun ally. The bonding sessions are going well. No fighting, biting, chasing or any agression. The new bun even grooms her and it’s only been two sessions so far! What I’m worried about it my girl ally just shuts down. She won’t move, sniff or do anything. She looks catatonic. I’m worried about this! Why is she shut down like this? I know she’s the submissive bun out of the two as the other male bun mounts her. But is she ok? I’m worried

She might be stressing out a bit. Are they both spayed/neutered? Has she ever been in contact with other rabbits before meeting him?

Yep they’re both spayed and neutered.
My girl ally has never seen another bun before (except at birth with her brothers and sisters) ‘maybe that’s it?

I would assume then that shes a bit stressed out as this is her first real time meeting another bunny Try to help her calm down while doing bonding sessions by petting her head and feeding both of them pellets/greens/treats. Feeding them both at the same time will help your female realize the new bun is not a threat
