I have bonded 3 pairs before but they were buns that picked each other at an adoption event and my home was neutral territory.

But now I’m needing to bond a new female into my already bonded pair (1 male and 1 female)
They have only met through a gate and instantly try to fight.

It was suggested to me by a fellow bonder and actually the lady that bonded my pair that we put them in crates (like metal dog cages) next to each other so they are close but separate (so they cant fight)

Idk if this will work tho as no place in my home is neutral and I don’t see then bonding while still separate. But I’m also scared to try and stress bond as the 2 may gang up on the new bun.

I’m looking for any suggestions please.

Is everybunny spayed/neutered? If not, dont try to bond until everyone is, and has been given atleast a month to heal and self drain hormones

Keeping them separate but close is a prebonding tactic often coupled with swapping litter boxes, water bowls/bottles, food dishes, toys, ect between all cages/pens once a day for a month or longer. This helps every bunny get used to the other bunnies’ smells and presence in “their” territory. With this prebonding technique, you shouldnt try to do actual bonding sessions until everybunny seems neutral about the items being swapped
