Had anyone tried this. I member of our local rabbit house society suggested it. Makes me nervous.

BBs own vet recommended it to her: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/127995/Default.aspx

I’ve not tried it because we don’t get Ivory soap here. “Any” soap doesn’t seem to work.

Ivory soap doesn’t seem to be toxic, if you google it you find lots of dogs, esp labs, that have eaten whole bars of ivory soap. It’s of course not good for a bun to eat soap, but if you try rubbing a little bit on a small part of the baseboards, at least you can perhaps see if the bunny seems drawn to it or repelled by it. If she starts to lick the soap off – then you know it doesn’t have the desired effect. It’s supposed to be a deterrent, so she should either back off when she feels the scent or after the first nibble. If that doesn’t happen, you can cancel the project.

My bunny Luke chewed on everything wood, I tried perfumes/body spray it worked for a short time. The trick to this is getting him or her fixed. It is truly amazing the transformation in behavior is. Mine was always chewing on everything I make him a card board box tunnel which gives him a safe place to hide and chew on. I also put pieces of wood he was allowed to chew in the locations he was chewing that i did not want him to chew on. After I got him fixed he chilled out a lot he doesnt chew on the walls base boards and he is so much calmer cuddly. He was always litter trained however after I got the other bunny they had a terd war constantly. The second bunny was not litter trained so I have been working with him for a month without much success he did pee in the litter but did not poop in it. I just had him neutered a week ago and he has not pooped on the floor at all he is using his box, I did not expect the turnaround to be that fast. He never skipped a beat almost like he didn’t have a surgery at all fearless little guy who up until the neuter I thought was a female lol had to change his name again
