I haven’t posted here in ages but we lost our beautiful Beefa to a spider bite  It was very sudden, he was hopping around fine and happy but when my daughter found him the poor little guy had already passed. The spider (a very big redback) was brought in on the underside of a step stool from outside, no-one had thought to turn it over and check it but we sure will with anything that comes in from outside now. We have a new little furry friend now and he’ll never replace our sweet Beefa but he is helping to heal hearts and he’s just a baby so we’re back in the potty training stage of bunnyhood and I’m back here looking for tips and tricks.

Oh gosh that’s so horrible, I’m so sorry! I hope you enjoy your new bun as much as Beefa, even though its hard to fill the hole it leaves after you lose one. <3

I am so very sorry for your loss of Beefa We unfortunately have a population of red backs in our garage, so anything I take from there I always check thoroughly.

Thanks xx we will be thoroughly checking everything from now on. I usually do check but I think the kids brought this one in, lucky they weren’t bitten

Oh heck, I wish I could get rid of spiders, I don’t know why spiders and tarantulas were created, even scorpions I got bitten a few months ago by a spider when I visited my friend, we are in Britain so you don’t expect it, I had gone out on my own because my friend was ill in bed, think I went to buy him a present to cheer him up, a spider bit me on the knee and I have a scar.

If there are Arachnophiles (People that love spiders) here, all spiders are nasty and can bite, they all carry venom (Poison) not always enough to bring down a mammal, I’m sorry I think they are all nasty and dangerous.

A bunny has lost his life to a spider.

                Has the spider been destroyed?
I am very sorry to hear this news I hope your new fury friend brings you many yeas of happiness.

Yes, the spider is well and truly dead, I made sure of that, also pulled everything out of the room and everything was sprayed and cleaned just to be sure there are no more well before little Basil was brought home.

Spiders are a part of life in Australia where everything is out to get you but we thankfully don’t see many harmful ones in the house.
