        Hi everyone,

I’ve found a large, hard bump on the underside of my bunny. It’s directly under the ribs. I’m not sure if this is his stomach, if anyone could link some good anatomy pictures of the stomach location that’d be great. He’s eating, drinking, hopping around, and passing stools as normal. I’m trying not to massage it in case that it is serious, but he’s really acting normal. He doesn’t look “ballooned” either. He just had his morning pellets, I’m wondering if that’s why his stomach doesn’t feel more doughy. Is this just how his stomach feels normally after eating?

Directly underneath the ribs would be the stomach. It could just be full? A bunny with bloat isn’t happy. It’s very very painful, the bun won’t eat or want to play or come for pets. It often tries to hide out of sight and if you lift it up and put it down, it just sinks to the floor or tries to get to a hiding-place. The bunny sometimes presses it’s tummy against the floor, actively, like a human doing push-ups. It keeps very still and it’s ears are often very cold.

Here’s one pic of the rabbit GI-system that’s rather good, esp in combo with the 2nd pic I’ll link to:

          Rabbit GI system I

          Rabbit GI system II
