My girl Ripley is an all black lion head.  Her fur is pretty short, but she has the long mane around her head.  I’ve noticed for a few months now that when I brush her, she has bad dandruff.  When I look closer on her ears, her skin is very dry and flaky.  Is this cause for concern?  Is there anything I can do or give her to help with this?

        Thanks.

I would either have a vet check her for mites, or just treat with revolution (if you can get it without a vet prescription) and see if there is an improvement.

I agree with getting her checked for mites. Flaky skin is a common symptom of mites in rabbits.

Thank you. I will make a vet appointment.

You’re proabably aware, but I’ll say it regardless, for other owners reading. Make certain the vet doesn’t use Frontline if Ripley does have mites. Revolution(as suggested) is good.
Some rabbits can just get dry skin and have some flakes appear. Particularly when molting. Regular brushing might help remove the dead skin and stimulate the oil glands in the skin. Even if its a really soft baby brush.
