So…. as I sit here, petting my adorable fur ball of a dog, Maggie, I’m thinking about the lack of photos of animals on BB besides bunnies… But I get it… this is a rabbit website! So, how about we appreciate another person’s beautiful animal(s)? You can post pics of a dog, a cat, a turtle…. anything. I only have one pet as of now (I don’t have my rabbit yet) and she is a Pekingese breed dog and she is seven years old.
Say hi to Maggie:
(She always lays down with her tongue out, it’s so cute! :p)
(Look at my gorgeous laptop charger… , this is a pic of Maggie resting.)
(Sleepy day with Maggie, it was cold the day I took this… like 34 degrees *Fahrenheit*).
(Here she is again with her tongue out. xD)
If you’re confused about what’s on my hand in the third picture, it’s lyrics from Hamilton…. It’s a hip-hop Broadway musical. xD So…. let’s appreciate some animals!
Nice pic with pup and charger… you won’t be able to do that with bun !!! (numnumnum)
I’m also currently rabbitless. I get my daily bunny fix by coming here and stalking the photo thread.
I have one dog, she’s a Rough Collie named Natasha. Whenever I walk her somewhere besides our normal walking spot, people usually stare at her and have to ask me what kind of dog she is! haha! She’s a pretty good dog.
Here are a few recent pictures.
Those photos look amazing! She looks amazing! I’ve never had a big dog in my life, they’re all small… so it’s nice to cute dogs that are a little larger. The second photo looks like something you’d find in a pro ad… so pretty. :p
How do people not know what rough collies are, have they never seen Lassie?! lol. You both have cute dogs, it’s funny that Maggie always lays with her tongue out.
My only other pet at the moment is Dory, our Eclectus parrot. She’s someone’s lost bird that we rescued and never found her owner (it’s been 6 months). She’s probably not a bird I would have had by choice if we’d gone out to buy or rescue one, but she’s still pretty awesome. So far she sometimes lets me pet above her beak when I give her a treat, but that’s it, haha. Oh and I can reach in her cage to hang new toys without her reaching to bite me too. She’s often pretty quiet, but when she’s loud, she’s very loud. When she’s annoying and loud, it’s always VERY annoying, lol. But we still love her She makes lots of very cute noises, and I’m pretty sure she may be starting to learn to talk, but it’s tough to tell when she’s chattering away.
I have an Australian Shepherd named Eevie. She is around one year old right now (I think, we got her when she was 8 months, I think 8 weeks are just for rabbits, right?) but definitely not full grown yet. she still has to triple her size. If you look closley, she has a little white diamond on her nose!
Baby (8 months?):
Her after 4 months with us (One year?) (LOL):
Eevie is very cute For dogs they recommended minimum 12 weeks, as there’s still crucial social development that happens while in the family unit up until that age. Though plenty of people still sell them from 8 weeks because then it’s legal That photo of her with her tongue out is just too cute
Okay then she was probably 8 weeks. That just sounded wrong to me for some reason because I know rabbits mature much faster than dogs, and yet they are sold at the same age.
Cute doggies! And Doryyy!
I’ve always enjoyed these threads where we can see peoples other furbabies.
Ive only had bunnies, until recently. Im now caretaker/slave of a dog on a part time basis. This is Hunter. He’s a 12 year old Tenterfield Terrier. He is my sister and her SO’s dog. Now with their daughter and another baby on the way, he hasn’t been getting attention he needs, so he’s spending most the week at my place and back to theirs on the weekend.
He could do with losing a little bit of weight and so could I !! So daily walks will hopefully help with this.
My brother has a Tenterfield also. She is a little thing!! She’s still quite young in this 1st pic. Even fully grown, she’s still way smaller then other dogs of this breed.
I’ve always like larger breed dogs but generally like all breeds. But these guys are very endearing!
What happened to his leg in the first pic?
Oh, I forgot to say. That pic was from about a year ago. He had a growth removed because it had some abnormal cells show up in a biopsy. He was on the way home from the vet and we stopped to get some things from the shops. He was waiting to catch sight of his “Dad”. I will have to get some more recent photos.
(btw, It’s a different dog in the 2 last pics).
@Carly’s Rabbits – Thanks!
@Azerane – Rough Collies aren’t well known were I live, and no, most haven’t heard of Lassie! Dory’s a beautiful bird!
I’m enjoying seeing other pets, hope to see more!
I guess I do have another ‘pet’… In my parents yard I found four large caterpillars destroying a small tree that has been struggling to survive for some time now. Since the caterpillars would’ve harmed it more, I decided to remove them all, and keep them in an insect keeper thing so I can watch them until they cocoon themselves. There is a park near where I live that has a larger, healthier tree of the same type that I can pick leaves off as needed.
Reese – that pic of Eevie is definitely “weeks” rather than “months” – 8 weeks would be about right – she’s gorgeous.
I’m an Australian Shepherd softy. I love them. Though when I had an Aussie friend over here, and he saw an Australian Shepherd in the street, he said those Aus Shepherds don’t look anything like the ones we have at home !! LOL
Most people don’t know the breed, but most people will say ohhh it’s a “Lassie dog” ! Or ohhh an Andrex dog (lab), or ooohhhh the Dulux dog (Old English Sheepdog / Bobtail)
Jersey – I’d love a dog share…. well, I would share someone elses. I wouldn’t share mine !!!

How do people not know what rough collies are, have they never seen Lassie?!
I was about to say the same thing! Collies and German Shepherds (Rin Tin Tin) should be the easiest breeds to recognize…
I just love Dory, she’s amazing!
Carly’s Rabbits: What a cute pup! Love her tongue sticking out.
Mortimer: Well, who doesn’t love Lassie! Awesome pictures!
Reesebun: She’s super cute! How heavy is she supposed to get?
jersey: How nice of you to take that sweet little guy in. I bet he loves all the attention!
I think most of you know my non bunny pets already (I know, I post too many pictures of them…) but here they are anyway:
Mosby (Maine Coon) and Lily (Siamese):
He’s a lot bigger than he looks, he’s slouching.
And Bubbles:
He’s honestly the worst pet I’ve ever had, but we love him anyway!
Azerane – That parrot’s coloring is so beautiful! I also love the cage.
Reesebun – Aweeee! Eevie is soooo cute. I also love her little nose diamond and her “Eevie” collar.
Jerseygirl – Adorable dogs! But, in the first photo what’s on the dog’s little leg? Is he/she okay? Still adorable! (Update: Nevermind, I forgot to check the previous messages!)
Hazel – Never had cats in my lifetime…. Ah! I hate it. ;-; My brother and dad are allergic. But you’re lucky to have them. They’re adorable! Also… is that a ferret? I begged my parents for one but they said no, they said that I should get a bunny, and I have been wanting a bunny too, so we settled on getting one…. which I don’t have yet.
Yay Bubbles!!
I like the Aussie Shepherds too. So cute!
Such cute critters, all of them

Reesebun: She’s super cute! How heavy is she supposed to get?
She is a female, and female aussies are supposed to get up to 55 lbs. She is around 25 – 30 lbs right now.
Hazel, that pic of Mosby and Lily is so gorgeous and just begging to be captioned! They’re both so beautiful. Also, what makes Bubbles the worst pet ever?
In regards to Aussies, do you know that there is a miniature version of them?! Called North American Shepherd/Miniature Australian Shepherd. They look just the same but smaller. I saw them in the Crufts agility videos this year.
I love all these pictures!
I can’t upload any new pics with this new (slow) computer-erhg. I’ll try and do an old one though.
But just for the record (other than Moxie the rabbit), we have 4 dogs, 1 cat, 1 cockatiel, and 2 fish.
EDIT— Oh, and 35 chickens
I’ll try and copy and paste some on here. Other than that, all I can think of is posting links from Instagram?
(Keep in mind that all these pics are older. The animals are definitely bigger/more mature looking if that makes sense. )
Paris at about 4 months old (She’ll be turning 2 sometime this early spring )
Tilly (a year old ish?)
Paris (back) and Tilly (front) (They are sisters so they’re the same age. They were about 1 year old in the pic)
Zero, probably a couple years old. I don’t really know lol (he’s turning 7 in the beginning of January!!)
Snickers at 8 weeks (she’s 5 now, and in my siggy )
Then this is her at like 8 months old:
Cleopatra (resting in her giant cat tree we bought her, that has to anchor into the ceiling so it won’t tople over)
Sorry for how big some of these are.
Kiko
Carly’s Rabbits: Thank you! Yes, he’s a ferret. He’s cute, but also crazy. And stinky. I think you made the right choice going with a rabbit.
Moxie: Aww, such cute pictures! Baby Snickers is killing me, too much cuteness…
Azerane: Thanks! I’m not sure why he’s looking at her like that, maybe he was afraid she might try to whack him, there were treats involved… Bubbles is the worst because he just won’t be litter trained. I don’t know if he’s just “special” or if we didn’t train him right, being first time ferret owners, but it’s just not happening. He does fine inside his cage, but when he’s out he just goes all over the place. His room has carpet flooring, so . I have to deep clean the floor all the time. But he’s such a happy-go-lucky little guy, I can’t stay mad at him.
Good Lord, baby Snickers!!! So cute!
I didn’t realise that was Snickers in you siggy, though it’s totally obvious now! I had though it a face shot of your Bridge dog.
How’s Kiko doing?
I’ll have to add pics of my sisters puppy when they get it. Another dog I’m gonna consider MINE on part time basis. Lol. I’ll get to see it at least twice a week.
V, you should look into dog sitting for people that go on vacation or something similar.
Kiko is doing good! The vets suspected some sort of infection, and gave us some meds to clear it up.
Puppy !
My sister and her family picked up their pup this weekend. I met him today. So adorable. <3
He’s a red and white border collie.
Puppy !!!!!!!!!!!! (I am presuming another sister….?)
Lol, yes. Her kids are older. Their last dog was a border collie/kelpie cross who passed away a few month back, aged 16.
I’m dying from the cuteness! I’m sorry to hear about their other dog, but hopefully this little puppy helps to fill the void Fun fact about red border collies; the colour is known as Australian Red or Golden/Yellow, as in the USA, UK and Europe (I think), red is used as the term for what we call chocolate here. The Aussie red colour is also not able to present in the merle form, unlike other colours such as blue, choc, and lilac.
By the way, where does your sister live? I have some business to attend to….
Az – LOL – Is it stuffing-puppy-up-jumper business??
OK so didn’t know they were called red, so checked up on KC accepted colours !!!! OMG check this out
Black & White – Black Tricolour – Black White & Tan – Blue & White – Blue Merle – Blue Merle & Tan
Blue Merle & White – Blue Sable – Blue Sable & White – Blue Tricolour – Blue Tricolour Merle
Blue White & Tan – Brown & White – Brown Merle – Brown Merle & White – Brown Sable
Brown Sable & White – Brown Tricolour – Brown Tricolour Merle – Brown White & Tan
Chocolate & White – Cream – Gold – Gold & White – Gold Merle & White – Gold Sable
Gold Sable & White – Lilac – Lilac & White – Lilac Merle – Lilac Merle & White
Lilac Tricolour – Lilac Tricolour Merle – Red & White – Red Merle & White – Red Tricolour
Red Tricolour Merle – Red White & Tan – Sable – Sable & White – Sable Blue Merle
Sable Merle – Sable Merle & White – Seal – Seal & White – Slate – Slate & White
Slate Merle – Slate Merle & White – Slate Tricolour Merle
Who’dve thought ?!!
Yes border collies come in a huge range of colours! I don’t think the Aussie kennel club recognises many of them for showing. Mainly the solid base and white colours (eg black and white), blue merle, and the black tricolour. A bit of a pity since the lilac tris are beautiful and I just love the chocolate merles. Plenty of people still breed the merles, though it explains why you see more blue merles than choc here.
That list is making me cross eyed!
Azerane, thanks for the little tidbit about Australian reds. I was thinking yellow/golden or blonde would be more apt name and was getting that every now and then when I looked as google images of the red and whites.
What do you know about eye colour? Do you think his will change?
By the way, where does your sister live? I have some business to attend to….
@Vienna, yes that exactly
I’m not too good with eye colour, they do often change but I think usually by about this age they will be a bright colour if they’re staying that colour, and a bit more murky if they may still change. I think amber and green eyes are more common with yellow dogs, although they could be brown or blue too depending on parentage of course.
