Hi!  I’m Emily, and I have two bunnies.  They’re Eve and Theo.  I bought Eve from a local pet store in late August on a whim without thinking about it (I cringe writing that sentence.  I didn’t know any better).  I’d just moved into my first adult, real-person apartment with my hamster, and figured it was time to get a friend that would be with me longer than a hamster.  She’s a cute lil white lop, although I don’t know what specific breed (if you can tell me, that’d be awesome.  I’ve looked up all the breeds of lop buns, and I can’t decide what she is).  After I got her, I did some heavy duty research.  I had no idea they lived 10 years.  At first, that… terrified me.  I’m not one to give up on an animal I care for, so that means I’d be “stuck” with her for a decade.  (After we got to know each other, I was very excited that I get to spend 10 whole years with her!) Through my heavy duty research, I quickly realized that a) she needed a friend whilst I was gone 7-16 hours a day, and b) I shouldn’t be buying bunnies. So I drove 2 hours to the nearest animal shelter that had bunnies, and found Theo.  He was the same age as Eve, opposite sexed, and would come neutered, all for $15.  He was, quite literally, the /perfect/ bunny.  Not to mention, his previous owners had gotten him from a show breeder– he was bred to be adorable.  And he is.  He’s awesome.  He’s the friendliest lil bunny you ever did meet.  When people come over, he hops right up and they can pet his lil nose and he flops over and closes his eyes.  Eve is much more reserved when it comes to other people, and easily panics when she sees a new person or hears almost any noise.  That being said, her and I are closer than Theo and I, possibly still more than her and Theo (debatable), so I personally consider her the lovebug of the two.  I had both of them caged when I first brought Theo home, and had their cages next to each other, and Eve… wasn’t happy.  She was ready to go on WorldStar.  She was ready to box.  She was ready to take on The Rock.  But, once she was spayed, I introduced them outside of their cages at the same time, prepared for the worst… and they started grooming each other.  So now we’re all best buds.  Her and Theo aren’t caged, so at night she hops up on my bed to sleep with me and licks my arm to get me up (usually at 4 AM, so.  Not a replacement for my alarm clock.  But I appreciate it:p)  I’m unsure of what breed Theo is, but he has a lil round face and his ears don’t yet go up, so they look like a lop bunny’s ears when they get excited.  He’s white with a light brown around his eye, light brown ears, and a stripe down his back with lil brown paws.

Okay, oh man, this is a lot.  If you actually read all of that, I applaud you.  If you were a moderator making sure I didn’t condone anything terrible or awful, kudos.  I’ll probably be on the forum a whole bunch! I figured it was about time.  All I do is gush about my buns, so I knew it was time to get an outlet that actually cared.

        This is Eve!

Hello and welcome to Binky Bunny! Eve certainly is a cutie and I’m sure that Theo is too.

            Welcome!

It sounds like Theo may have helicopter ears. Some bunnies are stuck between lop and happy ears. Or are just lazy about ear control (I’m pretty sure our Hazel is this way)

Eve is adorable! Would love to see Theo also!
