This will be our first Christmas with Mr Theodore, we adopted him 18th January this year. I just wanted to know how all you bunny parents who’ve had rabbits for a while manage with the Christmas decorations? i.e. it’s not very easy to bunny proof a Christmas tree but I don’t want to have to lock Theo out of the living room for the whole of December either.

        Anyone have any advice/wisdom?!

We started decorations on the tree a few limbs up. Obie loved playing “woodland bun” under the tree, so we made sure to start the danglies a bit higher.

On another note, Hazel found a bag of Christmas lights in a box the other day. She chewed the plug end off and left it laying by my desk chair. I’m thinking she’s a bit of a curmudgeon lol.

Last year I think was the first time that Bandit had access to the Christmas Tree, he loved it. He went behind it, hid under it and chewed on the fake leaves. So then I fenced it off. Needed to keep the wiring for the lights safe anyway. He was a bit sad about the fence, but what can you do.

I’ve spent the last two Xmas in Canada, didn’t make it home. So I needed a little pick me up and it’s the only tree I had space for and that Chester wouldn’t try to eat

I have a lovely artificial 7ft tree that goes in a bay window in my house and I don’t want to have to part with it because of Mr Theo! Leaving the lowest few branches bauble-free is a great idea.. the only problem that remains then is the christmas lights… perhaps I could tape them out of harms way. Might have to get creative

Your tree is adorable bubbles! Very cute

Hopefully I won’t have to fence off the tree but I was thinking that was an option if need be. Will maybe have to order some extra X-pen sections just in case
