Yesterday my bunny stopped eating/pooping. I started him on critical care, metacam and a GI motility drug that I had from his last stasis episode. When he still hadn’t pooped this morning I went to the vet and his X-ray showed a lot of gas. She told me to continue with the metacam, GI drug and critical care along with some infant gas-x. It’s been 12 hours since then and he still hasn’t pooped and feels like he has a full belly. could I be hurting him by overfilling his belly? Does anyone know anything else I can do to help him? He’s getting belly rubs and I’m trying to encourage movement but I’m getting worried that he’s still not eating drinking or pooping. Help!

It sounds more like a blockage than gas. Is there another vet you can talk to, or get an ultrasound instead? Im not sure a blockage would show on an xray depending what is causing the blockage

The vet prayed and they did not find a blockage. I finally got my answer from an emergency vet and he started pooping and eating a little bit soon after. He’s feeling better now and we’re weaning him off meds. Thanks for your opinion though!
