My bunny is named Winston. I got him at the shelter as a companion for my female bunny Cookie. He was neutured october 28. Today he peed on me and on my female rabbit. Hes never peed or pooped outside of his cage before. Hes also around one year old. Why did he do that? Has he forgotten he’s potty trained?.

It’s common for newly neutered bunnies to display exaggerated hormonal behavior for some time after the neuter. This phenomenon is known as a “post-neuter craze”. It’s to do with fluctuating hormone levels in the blood. Eventually those hormones die down, but it can take a little while, anything within 1-8 weeks is normal. Peeing on someone is part of bunny courtship.

He’s not forgotten he’s potty trained.
