Is is possible to bond Penelope (she’s nearly 2 years old) and a Corgi puppy?

Cute as it sounds, it is an unlikely bond.
Rabbits are prey, dogs are predators-their instincts do not allow for a natural affinity towards one another.
They also do not ‘speak’ the same language.

Can they learn to get along? Sure. My rabbits and my dog co-exist. She wants to play with them but she knows she cant. My dog has helped us raise kittens and chicks, but I wouldnt trust her to the rabbits.
Instinct is a strong thing, play stops being play very quickly if even one of them makes a false move.
They also do not understand one anothers boundaries, we know the signs of stressed rabbits or aggressive dogs, but other animals dont.

Social animals will always enjoy the company of their own kind given the choice! (Except humans…we chose rabbits!)

My bun and my dog do great together, but they are always supervised. Also my bun when she is full grown will be bigger then my dog. I have a 4.5lb chihuahua poodle mix and my bun is a satin angora and should be 6-7lbs full grown. The dog is nine and the bun is 12 weeks they both cuddle with me and occasionally with each other while they are both on my lap. I trust my dog, but I will not leave them together unsupervised, I don’t feel it’s worth the risk

I lefy my dog with bun, but I could totally trust her as she was older and I knew when she had accepted the rabbit (and cat) into “her” family to be protected.
I absolutely wouldn’t risk it with a puupy who won’t yet know her limits – though it would be great to educate her to be calm around bunny and not play with it…
