I have some questions about grooming.

Is okay to use a cat “Love Glove” on rabbits for grooming? If so what hair type should I use it on?

What’s the best way to groom a rabbit? What’s the best grooming tool *that you recommend* (like a brush of some sorts)?

        Unrelated questions:

How often should you feed treats to rabbits?

How many different types veggies should you feed to rabbits? Would they care if you different change the veggies up often?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Also, feel free to discuss grooming with the members of the community!

I think that the Love Glove should be fine. When you have soft rubber brushes, they are okay to use to brush the head with, too. Do not ever use any hard plastic or metal brush on the head. Also, do not brush too hard with hard brushes. A good rule of thumb while picking out brushes is to try the brush on your skin. If it hurts your skin, it should not be used for your bunny. Brush lightly, because they have very sensitive, tearable skin. You should brush your rabbit at least once a week if it is in shedding season.
As for the other questions, you can feed rabbits 1-2 treats a day, but it does matter on the size of the treat, too. And the rabbits would be fine with different changes of veggies about every few days to week. Rabbits like dark, leafy vegetables, and make sure you look up on the internet wether the vegetable is safe for them before feeding. It is best to give them one cup of veggies per two pounds of body weight of your rabbit. To measure the veggies, make sure to really stuff as much greens as possible into the cup! Remember, rabbits can have fruit, too, but ONLY as a treat! They have way more natural sugars in them than vegetables do in them. I hope this helps, and I am sorry that it was so long!

It really depends on the coat type of your rabbit, and your rabbits personality as to what would work best.
Personally I’d say that mit would be useless against the a amount fur rabbits have, especially as it’s so fine!
One of mine I use a furminator on, but you need to be careful with these as they can cause over grooming or hurt your rabbits delicate skin.
She has long fur which requires more maintenance, I have to groom it and make sure it’s clean as it’s hard for her to do herself.
whereas my male is generally fine

He’s a lionhead cross and he uses a soft bristle brush and a comb when he’ll tolerate it, he does not like to be groomed though.

Normally grooming happens in stages throughout the day with mine, just because he hates it, and she has so much fur to get through that I like give her a break.

When they are shedding I normally wet my hand a bit and run it over their coat, more effective way of picking up loose hair on short hair buns!

In regards to veg, new things have to be introduced gradually. So any new veg you want to try needs to be given in small quantities. They should have 5-6 types of veg per day, I tend to give mine about ten different things in rotation at varying amounts-carrot tops, raspberry leaves(when I’m home), kale, mint, rocket, dandelion leaves, celery, broccoli, romaine lettuce, watercress, butternut squash. Things like broccoli can cause gas so it needs to be monitored.

Treats depends. I actually use their pellets as treats instead of giving them to the buns in a bowl.
(Mine were taken off pellets by the vet and then i just never got back into giving them to them) so they get a lot of treats that way.
