So I got a new rabbit about a year ago things were going well and I thought maybe he needed a friend. So about a month ago I got him a female to bond with. They did well well together and liked each other. They were always together and everything was good. Then a few days ago he starts acting weird and ignoring her. He started sleeping away from her in a different area and any time she lowers her head to be groomed he just ignores her. When she comes close to him and tries to lay her head or nose on him he runs away and she tries to chase him but he just runs faster and hides. One minute he’s super into her and then the next he can’t be bothered and wants to get away. Is there something wrong with him? Is he sick or does he just not like her anymore? Is this common? He is eating a lot and eatsmost of the food that I put out for them, he eats hay, poops and pees doesn’t have any injures and is himself other than ignoring her. I feel bad and can see that she is kinda sad when he doesn’t sleep with her during the day and runs away when she tries to get close. Any advice on what I should do?

Are both bunnies de-sexed? They need to be for a really good bond to form. If only the boy is neutered and the girl is intact, the girl can be sexually demanding of the boy, and he, being neutered, can’t comply.

            Both are neutered.
