So we’ve had Finn for about two months now. When we first got him I noticed he had a little tuff of hair that looked like it could be plucked out no problem. I didn’t really think twice about it but now they are all over his butt. Is this normal?? Sorry if the pictures are not very helpful. I could try and get better ones if needed.

Yes, it is perfectly normal He’s shedding.

You can pluck the tufts out if you like, either that or brush him, because it’s best to remove as much hair as possible so he doesn’t ingest lots of it when he grooms himself.

Rabbits can even shed in patches that leave (temporary) bald spots. It’s normal as long as the skin is smooth (no crusts or sores or lots of dandruff).

Looks like shedding to me. I like to pluck Leopold’s rear. Hehehe!

Aww he’s shedding! Just pluck those little pieces out or brush him. He will appreciate it if you do. Otherwise, he might try to groom himself and end up with a mouth full of fur!
