How many bales of hay do you all go through in a month? I probably manage 3/4 – 1. Licorice has improved so so much om eating his hay, but it’s still not much so I don’t go through as much as I really should be.

        What about you all?

Do you mean a pet-store sized “bale” (flake) or a true bale(60-150lbs)? A true bale a month for one bunny is a lot, a lot of hay. If that’s the case I don’t think you need to worry.
I buy a bale maybe every other month to feed 3 guinea pigs and two rabbits, and a lot of that gets wasted (picky bunnies!). It fills up two industrial size trash cans.

I got through a standard 3ft bale in roughly 3 months for two bunnies.

The first bale shown on this page is the size I buy: https://forbeslucerne.com.au/hay-bale-weight-dimensions/

The only good quality hay I have access to comes in the tiny 15oz Oxbow bags. Chewie goes through one per week, usually, but he’s picky so the discarded stems from his munching box are used in his potty to cover up the litter and keep it from flying everywhere.

Around 6 weeks I think. For 5 rabbits.

Nooooo, not a true “bale”. That would be… scary.

But it’s slightly bigger than the average pet store one, but it falls under there.

I go through a “true” bale in about 3ish months with one (9 pound) rabbit… Although a bit does get wasted.

A standard bale (roughly 50lbs) lasts me a good 6months for one rabbit. Right now I have two different bales so that should last me quite a while as long as it stays fresh.

A true bale I’d go through probably in 4 – 5 months with two rabbits. (One five pound and one three pound.) Because one rabbit loves hay and the other doesn’t particularly like it.

I use pet store “bales,” so not real bales. I usually go through about 1 every 3 weeks.
