So it’s becoming more clear as their bond gets stronger that Unibunny and Bunita would rather be with eachother than me. Bunita used to follow me EVERYWHERE around the house and now I’m lucky if she lets me have one cuddle session, under her terms, on the floor in a day. Unibunny used to hop on the bed every night for snuggles and now we tried picking him up and putting him on it and he can’t get away fast enough. They probably each like Maybe 5 minutes of time with me now and would rather just be together.

We leave the bedroom door open and want them to come hang out in the living room but they’d rather just be on their own…

Will they get over the excitement of a new bond and come back to wanting me there at all or is this how it will be the rest of the time? They’re adorable together and I think it’s so cute but… I miss my bunnies

They still love you. They just don’t need you for everything right now so displays of affection change (especially since they have a bun friend to help with their needs).

With our buns, Guinness used to hop onto the couch and sit with us for several minutes, just lying within arms reach for petting. Nowadays, that tends to happen once in a blue moon, but she does still hop up and give me a few kisses before continuing on her way. Likewise, Bleu’s less straight up cuddly bunny but when he wants to be pet he’ll just lay down and wait for you. They still spend most of their time together but we make opportunities for them to hang with the hoomans too, particularly in just bringing them to the living room for their out-time.
