Yes, I got another.  Like potato chips, you can’t have just one   I got him this morning and he’s a tiny guy, as in no bigger than my hand.  Remus is probably three times the size.

For now, I have Padfoot (yes, another Harry Potter name, don’t judge me! ) in the playpen, portable whatever (like a Xpen though a canvas with mesh sides) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BV07BW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this is it. With it enclosed because i am NOT keeping him in the cage he came with as it’s way too small.  This will suffice until next week when i can order the new one for him.

Remus has shown no overt aggression towards him.  However, he is marking everything as territory (rubbing on it) and extra poops on the floor.  I have the playpen on the floor so the two can interact.  Remus is hopping around the playpen, interacting with him, like putting their noses together and staring at each other.  The only overly aggressive act is Remus is trying to get into the playpen.  Padfoot doesn’t seem at all stressed and is doing it back, hopping around, rearranging everything in it, normal bunny stuff.

My question is this; this doesn’t seem aggressive to me but want to make sure and wondering when I can let Padfoot out to interact with him.  The head cat has come over and nosed him then walked off, uninterested.  The other cat hasn’t seen him yet.  He’s the one i worry about, but not overly so.  It’s Remus who concerns me as I want to do this right.

        Thanks ahead of time!

Trying to get into the pen is considered aggressive. He doesnt want to get in to sniff, he wants to get in to fight. Dont let either of them meet until the territory poops and trying to get into the pen has stopped

          Are they both fixed?

Thankee! And I won’t. This is actually the first aggression I’ve seen from Remus, honestly. He’s more dorky bunny than aggressive.

No, the new one is way too young i think, he’s no bigger than my hand and he’s not a dwarf. Remus isn’t yet. He will be in a month or so. Was waiting to make sure he was old enough since I had no clue how old he was when I got them (both were bred for meat rabbits). Making sure Remus gets the same amount of attention and pets and loves and some extra treats to smooth the way. He won’t be neglected cause I got a new one. Want him to know that.

            Thanks again!

Ah ok, that will cause problems too. Hormones will cause rabbits to be more aggressive, and two hormonal rabbits can easily lead into a death fight. I would keep them in the same room, but otherwise keep them apart until a month after they both are neutered, then you move onto bonding them in a neutral room

Yeah, figured the hormones would factor in there (deal with male cats and know what this can do, especially if not neutered. Even neutered there are still some vicious battles there).

Some of it is solved already.

The poop bombing has stopped other than Remus ‘claimed’ my cat’s scratcher thing (it’s cardboard and you just peel the back off and they scratch on it, he’s decided this is now his and he loves it, scratching away and eating on it. Just cardboard, so won’t hurt him), only where he’s done it. He’s stopped trying to get in the playpen. The two are running around in tandem and nuzzling each other through the mesh, no attempts at biting or clawing or trying to get in or out. Remus is now actually all bunny sprawled, belly showing, right on the outside of the playpen with Padfoot laying the same way on the inside. Remus is back to his normal dorky binkying, zooming self. perched up on his desk o judgement so he can look down on us peasants LMAO Had Padfoot out and was holding him to take some pictures and he didn’t bother. We’ll see. Not taking this as all cute bunnies and pretty flowers, but think it’s a step the right direction and will go from there.
