Gus just jumped into the toilet – I usually shut the door but forgot today.  He got himself out and it seems like just his back legs got wet, but he is hiding way under the bed and won’t come out to let me dry him.  Will he be alright cleaning himself? I don’t have much of an option as even his favourite treats aren’t working to bribe him out but i’m still worried.  (toilet was clean, no chemical thing stuck to the side and was flushed etc)

Aww poor guy! He should be fine, but if he’s up to it in a little bit I might help him dry off a bit with a towel so he doesn’t get cold.

I bribed him out but he will not be dried, lol. Too wriggly to stay in a towel and I don’t want to scare him more by forcing it. He only looks a bit damp, not dripping wet or anything. And very cranky!

I’m sure he’s dry enough then. He’s lucky he didn’t fall in white and hop out yellow!

That’s good I hope he doesn’t get sick from cleaning himself or anything.  I did manage to get him to sit on the towel for a bit while he ate, even though he wouldn’t let me dry him with it.  Best I could do!

The water alone shouldn’t make him sick. If there is any bacteria residing in the toilet itself from, um, past use (that goes for everybody’s toilets – I’m not trying to say your toilet is dirty lol), I don’t think it is transferable/harmful to buns.
