  I’m livid. Well, at myself, mostly, but really????
  
  I bought a 15g syringe of Bene-bac from Amazon last July. It arrived here in Indonesia on August. I’m used to getting ones that are at least a year before expiration, and at a glance it looks like Oct 18 to me. I rechecked again and it turns out to be Oct 16.
  
  I’m just….angry at myself for not taking a closer look. Since we’re so far away, it’s ridiculously expensive. About 20 dollars. I’m wrecked right now. Is it normal? Has anyone gotten this problem too?
  
  When I opened the tip cap Chito still chased me and got to my lap because he loves his bene bac a lot. Is it still safe to give it to him?

  I think it’s still safe. Most often the expiration date is set much earlier than the product is at any risk of going bad, if it’s been in a sealed container and stored appropriately. Plus it’s just the beginning of October yet.
  
  But I think you should let Amazon know, because it’s not really acceptable, stuff that’s about to expire should be sold at a discount. Many people buy Benebac as a just-in-case med for the pet medicine cabinet.
