Hi so my newish female, 1 year and 6 months (got her at the spca) has all of her nipples scabbed over which I hear can happen when feeding young ones, but she is spayed and the male she is staying with is neutered, the only change is that they have been living in same cage area for last three days, today I discovered a few nasty looking scabs on her back, bite marks by the looks of it, and they have been since separated (it had seemed to be going well too, I’ll have to try another time) so I don’t know if that’s relavent or not.

But yeah very small scabs over each nipples, doesn’t look like bites or scratches, so what else could it be?

How long ago was she spayed?

I have no idea. She was spayed apparently at the spca in a different town before she was transfered to my towns spca. They don’t communicate very well so they don’t have much information I guess? Her stomach is fully healed and her fur seems to of grown back completely so a while at least.

And my male has been neutered for a year and a half if that helps either.

I was just wondering if it was from shaving her belly.
