Ok so I got my rabbit spayed about 2 weeks ago. She has continued to pee and poo all over my poor floors. I have made her bathroom as nice as I can even put treats in. She uses it but still uses my couch and floor. I moved her litter to a close new location as when we got her she decided to go in a corner of our house but saddly its are fireplace and im not keeping her litter there. I have blocked it off but now shes peeing and pooing by the box. Im using a litter tray that she has to jump into. Could that be the case? Help!

She was just spayed. Ive heard its typical for females to pee and poops anywhere for about a month after their spay, as their body is more focused on healing than holding their waste. You should also shouldnt be letting her jump around too much yet so her wound heals correctly. You can try to get a lower litter box so she can avoid jumping, but that still may not fix the problem for a few days/weeks. Hormones can also stay inside of females for up to six months after being spayed, if this is a hormonal issue instead

Yeah I got home after work yesterday and she had gotten past the barrier prorecting the couch and peed all over it. Shes only 5 months old so maybe shes experiencing her terrible teens. lol.

It’s not uncommon for there to be a surge of hormones post spay/neuter. In some cases, rabbits settle quite quickly in a matter of days, in other cases it can take a couple of months for hormonal behaviours to subside. Don’t give up hope! Just keep picking up after her and encouraging her to use the tray, even if you have to have several litter trays scattered around the place for now. She will get there

I agree, bunnies go crazy in the weeks (even months) following spaying/neutering. The surge of hormones and resulting imbalance can cause them to exhibit new hormonal behaviors or for existing ones to intensify. Do not give up yet! In most cases, their litter habits improve once everything is settled. She might need a refresher course at that time.
