So i’ve had a neutered male for about 2 years and just recently got a female about a month ago. They have been bonded to the point where they can stay in the same cage. I recently got her spayed about 2 weeks ago (if this helps)  they are both litter box trained too. However i have noticed that whenever he free roams my room he pees and poops in certain spots around my room. Is he doing this out of revenge for sticking them both in one cage? I’ll post a picture on how i have them set up. I have 2 litter trays, one in their cage and one outside their cage. They free roam all through the night and are usually caged about 8 hours in the day. Any advice???

I suppose it could be view as rebellious.. It’s more territorial behaviour though. Revenge is more a human action- rabbits don’t really seek revenge. Though it sure can feel like that sometimes!

Hopefully this behaviour will lessen as their bond grows but it might be a good idea to add a pen to their cage and limit how much of the room they get access to. You can increase the space they get gradually.
