Is there a difference between Trancing and Cradling? My bun Charlie has been cradled since she was born, as the breeder always held her like that and she seems to like it a lot. She doesn’t fight being held like that which is why I’m asking if there is a difference? I would think that Trancing would lead to the bun falling into the trance, as in struggling at first and then closing eyes, etc. When I hold Charlie like that she does so without a fight and seems immediately relaxed. I don’t want to do anything to harm her, but if she likes it I also don’t want to stop doing it! Thanks!!

Do free rabbits in nature practice trancing or lying on their backs? No, so it’s not natural. Don’t do it.
