        Hi everyone,

So I’ve noticed that my bunny isn’t “flopping” (when they lay on the ground all spread out) nor binkying. He loafs quite a lot, but I’ve never seen him stretched out. He eats fine and his health doesn’t seem to have any problems. Is he unhappy for any reason? Any ideas?
        Thanks

How long have you had him? if you haven’t had him very long he could just need more time to get that comfortable. if you’ve had him for a while and never seen him do this it very well could be just his personality. maybe try some toys to get him in a playful mood?

Some rabbits love to flop, but others rarely do it. Does he get plenty of room to run and exercise? Some rabbits may only binky if they have long stretches to run in. Your bunny just may be more of a reserved bunny.

I don’t know about your bunny, but mine took a while to understand that our space was her space too.

As I’m sure you know, bunnies need their basic needs met to be happy, so enough space to run around, enough attention, a good diet, etc. If he isn’t acting happy, think about whether his basic needs are being met first. If they are, it might just take time for you to build trust, so keep meeting those needs and being nice and gentle with him, and he will trust you.

Just like people, there seems to be enough variation in bunny personality to make it possible that your bunny just doesn’t binky. I doubt it though. Keep trying with him, and be patient! The rewards of bunny love are so worth it
