If any one can answer this question I would be grateful.  When do kits teeth come in?   We found a baby in a cactus at the end of June and his teeth had just come in.

We brought him in the house and raised him, Gizmo is now a happy house bunny.

We have a colony of wild domestic bunnies in the neighborhood.  My grandmother and several neighbors feed them.  We tried to see if any of the does in our yard would claim him and none would, though we have discovered his dad does live in the yard though.

This is the second baby we found this year.

Sorry if this is a duplicate post received error message when I attempted to post earlier

They are born with their teeth. The front teeth. I don’t know about the molars!

That is why I was asking I could see his front teeth, and was hoping like other animals they came through after they were born, this way we would have a more accurate age on Giz.

            Thank you for the response

Yes, their “adult” teeth are there either at birth or immediately after birth.

His weight would probably give you an idea of his age. How long have you had him now?

Grandma found him june 27 in her cactus, and I have had him indoors ever since, so just over 2 months.  We werent sure how old he was at the time so we put him on kitten formula for about a week. I weaned him off it.  and he has done very well.  At the end of June, when we found him he was small enough to fit in my hand, and to gve an idea how small my hands are I wear a sze 5 ring.  You can see in the picture how small he was and he still slept most of the time.

Is Gizmo the same bunny in your avatar? Wow, he really grew. I am glad he did so well.

I read they get a full coat around three weeks, but honestly Gizmo looks a little younger than three weeks to me despite his full coat. I would say between 2-3 weeks.

Yes Gizmo is the bunny in my avatar. We are thrilled he has done well also, We have his Dad in the yard and he is still about half the size of him. There is no mistaking his dad they could be twins as their markings are almost exactly the same. He has already out grown the cage he is in, and I am looking at ways to do a bigger cage now, that will have to wait until I am back working though… meanwhile he gets plenty of playtime out of his cage.. He is still using me and Pepper (shepard mix) for speed bumps for the bunny 500.

Odette does the speed racing! It wouldn’t surprise me if she tried to bounce off the walls. They have so much energy and personality.

Give Gizmo a head rub from me. What a great story that turned out well.

Just managed to get this last night. My family had concerns at first: 1 being Pepper is so big (tall) and 2 she is german shepard and wolf. But this is a dog who runs from the yard bunnies and kittens. And from Gizmo in the beginning. Pepper is unsure how to play with Gizmo. She wants to and has tried from day one, just has not figured out how yet.    When we first brought Gizmo in, she was helping with cleaning him. She still tries much to his dismay.

Another one of him as a baby, my shoulder, arm, or under my chin were his favorite sleeping spots when he didnt have to be in his ‘box’
