So I’ve been looking around for a little bunwife for my mini lop, Fatbit. I found one for him, she is a litte 2lb netherlands dwarf, however she is currently bonded to another neutered male. Her owner had to move to a new place that doesn’t allow rabbits, so she is trying to find good homes for them and initially wanted them to go together. Would it be too hard for her to separate from him and bond to my bunny? I feel bad because I can’t take him too, he’s a New Zealand and I just don’t have room for 3 rabbits.

It’s not recommended to separate bonded rabbits. I’d try to find a single bunny, honestly, and hope that the bonded couple can be adopted out together.

            oh definitely bam.

Morwenna, it’s great you’re looking to adopt – great name btw for the bun lol – , but as you may tell from reading posts, bonding bunnies isn’t sometimes as easy as we’d like and so to have 2 already bonded is a win win situation for the people who will adopt them. I can understand you not being able to take the 3 but there’s another wifey out there for Fatbit, I’m sure of it !

When I went to look at her and asked about it, the owner said they were not bonded, they were just living together (in a tiny cage >_<) I guess when she got the doe she just put them together….sooooo I went ahead and brought her home. I'll watch her and see how she does and do what I need to do to make her happy and healthy. <3.
