Sage has a room to herself and gets run of the house when Walker is outside.  I wanted a gate that wasn’t a hurdle for myself – so a door to walk through, tall enough that Walker or Sage couldn’t jump over, material that couldn’t be easily destroyed and bars close enough that Sage couldn’t escape or get caught in.  I searched and searched and couldn’t find anything that fit all those points so I did a little brainstorming and this is what I came up with.

Extra tall baby gate with walk through door as well as a pet door (for the future when hopefully my two babies live in harmony…Sage will be able to get in her room but Walker won’t be able to follow).  Pressure mounted.

Add NIC cube grids….and tadaa….fits all my criteria!!!

Some of the NIC cube grids had to be cut down and filed so as not to block off the normal access area and not have sharp edges…..

note the little door is uncovered….needed to cut the center out of a NIC grid to  allow this door to still function, however the bars still would still allow Sage to squeeze her head through and we don’t want that so …..

took another NIC grid and used clips to attach it.  This way when not in use it is Sage safe….when I need it…undo the 3 clips it pops off…open the door and we are good to go…Sage comes out to play but Walker can’t get into “her” space…no litter/poo eating or stealing of the food!!!

Just thought I would share this in case anyone was looking for the same thing I was but was having trouble finding it!!!
