So my rabbit was still chewing on pellets when Tried to pick him up. He made a weird noise like a snort sort of, so I immediately put him on the ground and let him eat his food. He has never done this before. Can anyone explain?

You picking him up while he wasnt ready likely caused him to choke a bit on the food he was eating

I’m not sure it’s a choking thing. Kristy makes grunting noises when we try to pick her up and she doesn’t want to, also sometimes when the treats arent being distributed nfast enough to her liking. Sometimes it sounds like a snort. She does it almost all the time if she’s in the middle of eating and we even try petting her.
