So i have school in two weeks. is it okay if i leave my bunny at home for 6 hours? he has an xpen, and i will refill his food in the morning. Will he get lonely? Im not allowed to get another bunny, and nobody is home for the 6 hours exept on mondays and weekends. is it ok if 5 days a week he is alone for 6 hours? i will get him lots of toys.

The afternoon is a rabbit’s least active time when they tend to laze around and nap. If Ben gets lots of love and space to explore and run around when you get home he will be fine

I also give my rabbit her pellets when I wake up at 6:00. When I go to school, Reese seems just fine by herself. Right when I get home I give her some veggies, then I bring her outside and we both do homework together outside. Then I just let her run around the house with her cage ramp open and close it when it is her bed time (my bed time).

sadly, reese, i am not allowed to bring ben around the house because my dad gets really mad about the poop if theres alot. there have been times where i had to fight to keep ben. if we give him away i dont know what they will do with him.  ben is three pounds , and quite small, i think one xpen is big enough for exercize.

Ben will be fine. He’ll sleep and eat. We’ve noticed Odette tries to stay awake when we are home during the day on the weekends. That’s her prime sleeping time while we are away during the week, but she doesn’t like missing anything on the weekend, so she tries to stay awake and nods off. Its the cutest thing. But, yes, Ben will be perfectly fine. I make a point of saying goodbye and hello to Odette every morning and afternoon because she seems to like schedule.

I think the xpen size is fine too. He has room to explore and he has his cage when he wants to sleep. All is good in Ben’s world! Enjoy your new school year!

in 2014 I was gone from the house from 8 am to 7 pm (commute + long lab shift). Kuro would stay in his pen (that’s 1m^2 + cage… sorry I never learned inches and stuff ^__^””” ) and get out only 3-4 hours at night after dinner. He’s always been cool with it, he could sleep in peace with no human noises!

Just make sure to spend some quality time with Ben when you’re home and he’ll be a happy bun!
