I own two rabbits, a 3-month-old 3 lb rabbit named Amy and a 4-year-old 4 1/2 lb rabbit named Marlen. They got along pretty well up until a few days ago, when they began to fight by grunting and chasing each other aggressively, Marlen usually winning by chasing Amy away. Then, starting yesterday Amy started winning and chasing Marlen away, but Amy often pulls large amounts of Marlen’s fur as she chases her. Now, every time I put them together, the will begin to fight within a few minutes.

I’m assuming Amy isn’t spayed yet? Since she is now 3 months old, her hormone “switch” was probably turned on recently. What you’re witnessing is typical aggressive behavior that is often seen in intact rabbits reaching puberty. You will need to separate them now. If they get into a really bad fight, their chances of bonding again later (after everyone is spayed and healed) diminish.

Im assuming neither of them are spayed since they seem to both be showing signs of hormones. Before you can bond, youll have to get both girls spayed and give them atleast a month to fully heal and drain some of their hormones out. Some girls will take longer to drain out their hormones, so during that time you can work on pre bonding techniques. Such as the stuffed bunny tactic, swapping litter boxes, swapping food and water dishes, swapping toys, ect
