This is random, but do any of you have weird dreams about your rabbits or bunnies in general? Shortly after I got Olaf I started having strange dreams/nightmares about not being able to protect him in a disaster or emergency. The reoccurring one was the worst – there was a tsunami or flood and my whole house filled up with water. For some reason we could only get out the front door, which meant I had to take him underwater in his carrier to get down to the first floor. Without fail the dream would end just as we came to the surface so I never knew what happened. I have no idea if rabbits can hold their breath for very long so it always left me feeling terrible. I assume this is common for most worried parents–furbabies or otherwise!

They’re not all bad dreams though. My favorite was a pair of rabbits that started following me around everywhere. I’d walk around town with them in tow, on the sidewalk, in the store, and eventually got to adopt them. The subconscious is SO weird!

I quite often dream of my bunnies that have passed on. I like to think this is them visiting me.

              You are so lucky !

I use to have some dreams that along with my own rabbits, I had some outdoor ones also. Or ones I was supposed to be caring for byt weren’t mine perhaps? But I would keep forgetting about them. When I’d remember them, Id have this great feeling of panic and guilt. I think in one of the dreams there were baby rabbits also. Anyway the common theme was neglect. : (

I do recall part of another dream where Gooseman was on the sofa, doing one of those hand-clapping games.

pinknfwuffy, Im glad you had the second more light-hearted dream to balance out the first.

lol, a hand clapping bunny, too funny

The only dream I really recall was a recurring nightmare I used to have about Bandit. After he chewed the window frame at a previous rental I used to have nightmares that he would get out while I was at work and chew literally the whole house. All the skirting boards, every wooden step on the staircase, window frames that he would have had no way of reaching, the carpet, the kitchen cabinets, the walls. Then I would come home to this super cute bunny greeting me at the door and the visible chaos. It was always a really stressful dream and every time I woke up from it I would have to go downstairs to check that he was still contained, lol.
I did have one dream about Bandit after he passed away, I don’t remember what happened in it, but it was a nice dream So far I haven’t had any dreams about mischief and trouble.

I usually have dreams about being overrun with bunnies. Like so many bunnies, how do I care for them all? Or just multiplying bunnies – turn around and there’s more!

I’m pretty surr this is my awake life creeping into my dreams! Lol so. Many. Bunnies. Hehe

The night before last I had dream about winning the lottery. I bought a house with a giant bunny room and then used runaround connectors out of the house and they had a run that was half an acre big. (Specially dug up by builders to ensure that all sides and bottom were predator proof.) With the remaining acres, I set up multiple bunny enclosures and giant shed for large bunnies and/or large groups of bunnies that shelters found hard to place.

With our large fortune, we also hired someone to take care of all the extra buns and help socialise them.

We asked to be put on a list in case any such bunnies came into the RSPCA and other shelters and the shelters thought we were more than a little bit nuts.

I had a dream another night, again with the run around set up, but a more normal sized garden. I set the room up as Harry Potter themed. The black lake was a giant dig box with a squid rising out of it and there was a Hogwarts castle with tunnels and places for the buns to hide (it went up stories and had mesh windows for safety). It included a great hall with four troughs (for each of the houses) for salad bowls. Around it was a grass area for them.

The connector going outside was Hogsmeade station and their was a barrier in the shape of the Hogwarts express to keep them from falling. There was also a bunch of other stuff but I’ve forgotten the details now.

                        Clearly, I have a problem.

My dreams are usually ridiculously weird. Like majorly weird. I actually love dreaming. I have so much fun in my dreams.
