Bunnies seems to know when we have our favorite clothes on

I don’t know how to litter train a bunny. Odette came to me trained. I do think Ben will not spray as much (or maybe at all) after his neuter.

A neuter on a male bunny is a relatively minor procedure and they usually bounce back very quickly. I was very worried when theo went in but he was right as rain in a few days.

Maybe try putting his litter tray in the corner where he likes to poop? Rabbits usually pick the pooping spot not the humans! ?

Is it better to put it near the food?

It can help if you put hay next to it.

Theo’s mom is right. Its not as big a deal for male bunnies. I spoke to my vet about Odette and she’s too young, but he said while females were more invasive than males, she would do fine. So Ben will do even better. We’ll send lots of good neuter vibes on the 20th.

I would put it where he likes to poop (most bunnies will have such a place) and put his hay next to it so he can eat and potty at the same time. That worked for Lily. You’ll still find poops outside the box, but those are pretty easy to deal with

For my bunny, litter training is not an option for her. She is too stubborn lol. Whenever I move the litterbox the place she likes to poop, she just picks another spot.

Zeke was the same way until I got him fixed. For some reason his favorite place to poop was my bed, because I have a platform bed frame and it’s easy for him to hop up on. Yeah, I also had to get him a larger litter box.

My bun’s litter boxes are where they eat too. I have their food, hat and watter bottle at one end (I’m handy so I made a little wooden table to hold it all) so they have to be standing in their box to get to their food. when we were training them I would take piles of pellets and move them to the litter box to show them that’s where they go. this has worked very well for both buns. after the neuter we had to give bun an extra litter box because he decided he didn’t like his old one. he hasn’t had anymore accidents outside of a box so we are going to see what happens if we go back to one. we use large litter boxes meant for cats because they like to lay in them too. ours seem to divide them in half and potty in one half and lay in the other half (even when there’s a super comfy bed and blankets in their house)
