I found a small cut on his ear, I think it is from scratching. I cleaned it to get the dried blood off. Does this look like it would heal? I am planning to go to the vet at some point for a check up for the first time when I am free. I just want to make sure that this won’t be life threatening or won’t get infected. I am just a scared first time mommy

That looks like a minor scratch, but if you keep seeing him scratch the same place repeatedly, you would want to have it checked out to make sure that he doesn’t have a skin condition. You can put some Neosporin on it to help it heal a little faster. Use the plain Neosporin, not the kind with pain relief.

Okay, thank you very much! I looked inside his ears and don’t see anything, but I will bring it up when I see a vet.
