        Hi.
My 10 month old mini lop has a cage with 3 floors, and all three floors have linoleum tile and vinyl sheeting. Well… He keeps digging and teething on the tiles and ripping up the waterproof coating and trying to eat all of the tile. So I was thinking I would make cage liners with fleece and towels and waterproof layers, but I don’t know how to keep the corners and sides down so he won’t dig at them. I’ve had luck with fleece before, he never eats them, but always moves it out of the way of the floor. The only time I was able to keep it down was on the second floor when I folded big blankets a bunch to make thick liners and put his stuffed bunny up there too, and he didn’t do anything to it

        Any ideas??
        Thanks!!!

That’s a tough one. Do you have pics of his cage? If he doesn’t chew fleece, go for it. The only thing I can think of are slate tiles. They are kind of “grippy” for feet but not sure how you would keep them in place. My rabbits are chewers, but the heavy duty tarp works. Also, if your rabbit is bored, they will chew. Do you think that is the case? As it is, rabbits like to chew securely fastened objects, so maybe attaching something to your cage in that spot would also help.

I usually see people use these clips to hold flooring down. You can remove the wire part once the clips are in place, and put them back in when you need to open the clip.  Alternatively, I’d glue some flat strips of wood over the edge of the vinyl tiles where he’s able to get to them.

Yup the wooden edges are what I go for. Zou loves chewing them. Doesn’t do any damage and can be replaced when they’re chomped through….
