So as some of you know I am getting an Xpen for Ben. I was wondering if he needs a water bowl or I can just keep his bottle. Also, im moving him to the basement. There is lots of room there. Any other tips would be great.

Most rabbits prefer a bowl. They can access the water better and more easily. Make sure that you get a heavy crockery bowl.

How do I teach him to drink from a bowl?

I have found just putting a bowl under the bottle for a day or two. In the few cases I have had, they take to the bowl right away and then there is no problem except for them knocking it over.

if you get a large dog bowl they won’t knock it over and you only need to refill it every 2 or 3 days

I have a really heavy stoneware bowl for my Yohio, he throws smaller bowls around for fun. I think he’s fascinated by being able to spill out the water, because he never throws other things around.
I change water every day because hair and hay can get in it. But you can drag a piece of fine mesh weave through it and catch any debris that way (tip from Jerseygirl yesterday!)
