Here’s my situation, Winnie is almost a year old and spayed. This morning I brought home an 8 wk old male flemmish giant(not nuetered yet). When i brought home the baby, i didnt take it in winnies room, but i did let Winnie smell be a bunch of times for at least 2 hrs, while flemmie stayed in the living room with me. When sniffing me, she would get crazy and start running around me a bunch.

She is obviously territorial right now(that is her room lol) but she wants to attack the male baby..like bad!! Im saddened:/

So, the flemmish baby is in a cage in winnies room.(winnie is free range in the room). I had to put high pieces of card board around the cage(so Winnie cant see the baby, she can only smell him). I had to reinforce the cardboard cause Winnie was trying to tear down the cardboard to fight.  Winnie wants to fight him, but she is also doing binkys around the room? she is currently sitting in front of the cage gaurding it.

Is this what i should do for a couple weeks? until Winnie is no longer territorial? Will Winnie come around? Any advice please??

The flemmish is the sweetest little guy and is not trying to fight Winnie. Winnie wants him dead right now.

Others will know better, but from what I’ve been told, you should wait until the Flemmie is neutered to introduce them. Once he gets hormonal, he will drive Winnie crazy trying to mate with her and it could ruin any bond they have formed. They can get used to being neighbors though in the meanwhile and that should make the bonding easier when the time comes.
Congrats on the new bunny- I love Flemish Giants ?!

I know, i don’t plan on putting them together till he is nuetered, but she is not okay with him even being in her room right now. She trys to attack him through the bars. I just needed to know if its okay, if hat happens? Will Winnie eventually get used to him?
Thankyou for your advice though and thanks for replying.

She will probably calm down when she gets used to the idea of another bunny being around. And she’s confused by smells of a new, hormonal bunny.
