So as I was about to go to sleep I hear this strange buzzing and loud talking. I go to the window and hear something about pesticides and immediately close the windows. Then I googled and found this:

        http://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/health/health-topics/west-nile-virus-spray.page

They were definitely spraying in my area and I didn’t know!!!

In the bunny room the windows are closed but there is an AC. But there is no “closed vent” or air recirculating position on it. It’s a cool night, but that from gets hot. I need the AC on.

Also, it’s been about 30 min after they sprayed now. I’m terrified my bunny had been poisoned.

I’m not sure what to do. It’s this stuff deadly? Dammed mosquitos!!!

In some places they spray regularly, and I don’t think pets die of that or they’d warn pet-owners beforehand?

Here’s some info about what chemicals are used and some possible health effects for humans.

Yeah they said they warned people but I listen to local radio everyday and nothing. He seems fine today. Just scared the crap out of me last night because there was this car with a loud speaker driving around with the spaying truck telling everyone to close their windows and stay indoors. But it’s totally safe!!!

I suppose it is safe for most people, but you shouldn’t go outside and expose yourself to the downfall. Indoors should be safe.
It’s actually good for bunnies too that they spray because mosquitos can carry diseases that can affect rabbits and other pets too, like West Nile Virus.

I wouldn’t worry. I live in a lake area with routine sprays. I’ve never heard of anyone losing pets or seeing dead birds after a spray. I am sure the pesticide used in an urban area such as yours is highly regulated.
