Is there a way to visually or physically gauge if a rabbit is overweight without actually weighing them? Olaf doesn’t have a vet check-up for another six months (knock on wood) and I don’t have a scale. When he’s loafing or sitting up he looks a little pudgy to me but appears long and lean when he stretched out or running around. It’s hard to tell.

He gets 1/4 cup of pellets, 1 cup of greens, unlimited hay, and the occasional baby carrot or dried papaya treat. He’s pretty active, especially in the morning, but has definitely been doing less zoomies as he gets older. I just want to be sure he’s staying healthy.

          Check out this chart: http://charlotte-harris.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Body-Condition-Score-Rabbit.jpg

There’s other similar ones available online. Hope it helps

Thank you! This is super helpful. I love the top-view, as well. Who knew? I feel better–it appears Olaf is in the normal range. Phew!
