        Hi everyone,

Today I left my bowl of fruit in the rabbit room by accident. I went in to feed Joey, and brought my snack in with me (which consisted of a small bowl of watermelon cubes and blackberries). I had eaten everything, all that was left in the bowl was a small puddle of watermelon “water”. But I had accidentally left the bowl of “water” in the room when I left. When I came back in to check on his hay a few hours later, it seems like he drank all of the “water” as the bowl was almost dry. However, he seems to be acting ok. He has never had watermelon before, or fruit for that matter. He’s only four months old, and I’m starting to introduce vegetables. I know that watermelon and blackberries in small amounts aren’t bad for bunnies, but what about the sugary water? Should I flush it out of his system by getting him to drink more regular water?

He should be perfectly fine It was just a bit of juice left in the bowl, and while maybe a bit sugary I’m sure he’ll be alright, you might see a mushy poo or two, but I doubt it. Just encourage some more hay eating if you’re concerned.
