My bunnys has been leaving a puddle of brown liquid on the floor about the size of a toonie. It happened twice in the last week. It always appears just outside of her litter box. I don’t think it’s pee because she never pees outside of her box. When I wipe it up it is not very coloured, more like very light brown.
She seems very healthy and happy otherwise.
        Anyone experience this before?

Just to add, I did notice that after the liquid dried on the paper towel it turned kinda pale orangey. I was reading that sometimes with bladder sludge it can be outside the litter box. Anyone have experience dealing with bladder sludge?

Is your bun spayed? If not, she could be spraying, because what you describe sounds like bunny pee.

If she is spayed already (for at least a month), it could be accidental spray – does her litterbox have high enough sides?

If not this either, then buns sometimes lose litterbox habits as a result of a UT infection – is she drinking more water than usual, or posturing when she’s peeing? If yes, then it’s vet time.

            Hope it’s just spray.

Bladder sludge is thick like fine, wet concrete and beige/gray in color. This could be a UTI as Q8 says. Rabbit urine tends to change color when it gets exposed to air.
If she’s not spayed I’d be more cornered about the possibility of it coming from her reproductive tract. That could indicate a uterine problem, which is very common in unspayed does.

She is not spayed. If it continues sounds like I should take her to the vet, thanks guys!
