Hello! My 7 month old mini lop is definitely reaching sexual maturity. Last week she started mounting us any chance she could get which eventually lead to humping and biting (not very hard, im assuming it is part of the mating and dominance stage). Anyways… we left for a few days leaving her in my sisters care with very clear instructions on her eating schedules (1/4 cup of high quality pellets in the morning and a cup to a cup 1/2 of greens in the evening with fresh hay and water available at all times). When we returned I noticed she barely used her litter box (also assuming she is going crazy with sexual frustration) and she is pooping cecal poops which makes me think maybe she didn’t eat as much hay as normal. Is this normal behavior? Should I be worried that she is not eating or drinking as much as she normally does but still eating all of her pellets and greens? I have an appointment at the vet for a check up appointment next week so I can get her spayed. I am just worried she will develop stomach issues if she does need eat her hay. Thank you in advance!

P.S. She is peeing in random places which is unlike her, is this her spraying? She is very well litter trained and I only have to sweep her cage maybe twice a month.

Hi! I have a non-neutered boy and, apart from some random humping and being generally more grumpy, he didn’t cause much trouble during his teenage.
He did start to poo outside of his litter box to mark territory, but only ordinary dry little pebbles. He never peed around, I think because we don’t have other pets, so he never really had to protect his territory… do you have other pets that might be upsetting her?

The change in eating habits might also be because she didn’t like being left “alone”, or maybe the weather is just hotter? I’d say to give her some time, she must be stressing right now.

Again, I have a boy so other people will surely be more informed about how little girls behave

I have a dog but they don’t avoid each other or have a conflict. She is starting to poop normal now but I will still skip on the greens tonight to be on the safe side. Thanks for your reply!
