We just recently got another bunny and we are in the process of bonding her with our other bun. One is probably 2 or 3 months, the other is about 6 months. The 2 month old (Oreo) pees everywhere except her cage. The minute we let her out of the cage she pees on the floor. Even when she’s in her cage, she manages to position herself in a way that the pee mostly lands outside the cage. What could be causing this behavior? Also, tips on potty training would help. Our older bunny got the hang of it pretty quick but Oreo, not so much.

At two months of age, Oreo wouldn’t have been spayed yet. You will have a lot more success litter box training a rabbit that has been spayed or neutered. Also, the first step in bonding rabbits is for both to be spayed or neutered and recuperated, so you are not going to have much luck with that either. Once a rabbit reaches maturity and the hormones kick in, you can have aggression and fighting. Rabbits can severely injure each other when they fight. I assume that your 6 month old rabbit has been spayed or neutered. It would be best if you put the bonding on hold until your younger rabbit has been spayed.

I agree with tobyluv 100% about both the spaying for littler training and waiting for that (and a bit after for healing and hormones to go down) to start bonding. I had two buns that we thought both were female (turns out one was a boy) and once they reached maturity we got our bun boy David neutered but waited for Goliath to be spayed. She became very territorial and aggressive towards him and their once loving relationship spiraled (of course not EVERY bunny with become like that) also is it possible that she could be doing that to mark her territory or has she NEVER peed in her cage?
I’d recommend having a little box in her cage (and in her run area) and what I had to do was start first by moving their poops into the box and cleaning up their pees with tissue and putting it in the box. They end up getting the idea sooner or later haha

OH AND CLEAN THE AREAS SHE PEES AND YOU DONT WANT HER TO KEEP GOING WITH VINIGER WATER AS THE SENT WILL MAKE HER KEEP PEEING THERE!!!
