        Hi everyone!

Is there any tell tale signs that a bun would be happier with a companion?
Pops is coming up to being a year old soon and I’ve been thinking about getting him a friend because ive heard rabbits are happier with a friend, except im not sure if he wants a friend?

Pops and i have a really close bond and he’s used to being the centre of attention. I spend all my free time with him and he’s only by himself when im at work during the day. He’s very affectionate towards me and follows me everywhere while binkying, so he seems very happy with the bond we share. He does get a bit jealous towards my partner though, I’m not sure if thats because of him being a male and my partner also a male?

I just wonder if our bond is enough to keep him happy or if he would be happier with a friend that speaks the same language.

        Thanks!

It sounds like you spend a lot of time with him so I’m sure he’s happy from the way you describe it. While I’m sure it would be nice for him to have another rabbit as companion for while you’re gone during the day, that doesn’t mean he’s unhappy without one. Most rabbits sleep through much of the middle of the day anyway so I wouldn’t consider it an issue. He seems like he’s doing well to me without a friend, but you certainly could try bonding him with another rabbit if that’s what you wanted.
