  I have a 3 month old holland lop and I noticed his nails are quite sharp but they are still very short and stubby. Is there a certain age recommended to start trimming nails? Does it matter?

  Hello. Age is not really an issue. Whenever you notice the nails getting long is a good time – in general, frequent minor trims are preferable to infrequent big trims, since you want to prevent elongation of the quick.
  
  It’s also good to start getting your bun accustomed a bit to being handled for nail trimming.
  
  There are posts here (they may even be pinned), and articles in the Bunny Info tab above, and YouTube videos on how to trim bunny nails with the bun out or in a bunny burrito. The press press clip technique is best, imho.

  I started right away. I wrapped mine up in a towel, and carefully trimmed around the day time for the best lighting. And I do it monthly.
