        Has anyone ever had a rabbit that prefers to eat first cut hay over second cut? I’ve noticed flopsy really preferred to eat her hay first cut and picks at it if its not. my thing as long as shes eating hay i dont mind but i just never had a rabbit with a hay preferance before..

          Rabbits definitely have hay preferences. Some like the soft, leafy hay and others like the harder, stalky hay or the hay with hard seed heads.

            Reese, my sister’s bunny, just eats whatever, but with things like bedding and toys and people, she is very, very sassy and picky.

              I noticed her preference when my mom got her a bigger bag of hay but it was second cut, she picked at it and I had to stuff it in her toys but first cut she’ll eat it like there’s no tomorrow lol
