Freckles died today during an operation in an attempt to save her life I rescued her from a rescue and she came to me with problems and over this week she has been very poorly and in and out of the vets, she died under anaesthetic. The vet said that she probably wouldn’t have made it through the night even if they hadn’t of operated, it was her only chance to operate. I feel so lost, and so does her companion Dusty, I will be getting him another friend soon to make him feel better and get him back to himself. So bunny dating is my next move. I feel like I’m replacing her but it’s what Dusty needs, it’s such a difficult situation with bonded rabbits she has only been with me 4 weeks but it was the happiest 4 weeks of her life, there were so many binkies and cuddles. Me and her really hit it off, at the vets she was very scared and she ran over to me and climbed up chest for a cuddle, I’ll never forget that moment. My gorgeous girl has crossed rainbow bridge
It won’t let me upload a picture but she was an BEAUTIFUL English Spot, she was stunning.

So sorry for your loss, its never easy when things like this happen, I don’t mean this in a nasty way, Freckles died under anaesthetic so she was asleep when her time came so its a good thing but still very very sad.
I’m so sorry for your loss.

I am sorry about the loss of your beautiful Freckles. Spend as much time as possible with Dusty. That will help both of you to better cope with the loss.

I am so sorry. Try to spend lots of time with Dusty… focusing on one animal usual eases the pain of losing the other. However, I am not saying that you shouldn’t be grieving. It is natural to be pained. I’m so sorry that you had to go through that.

I’m awfully sorry about your losing Freckles. It’s nice that she got one more cuddle and felt your love before she went to sleep, though. And I agree with the others: make Dusty the focus of your time now – it will help you both cope with the grief.

                    (((Binky free, lovely girl.)))
